Our Dental Technologies

At Battlefords Dental Centre, we leverage technology to help diagnose patients and create effective treatment plans. These technologies also help us make your dental appointments more efficient.

Because we display digital scans and X-rays on monitors in our treatment rooms, we're able to show you any issues in your mouth, walk you through your treatment plan and clearly answer questions you may have.

We're on a mission to provide patients with efficient dental care and to inform them about their oral health. Dental technology helps us do this.

Digital X-Rays

X-rays play a vital role in dental care treatment plans. With digital X-rays, digital sensors replace traditional photographic X-ray film. They create highly detailed computer images of gums and teeth, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This allows us to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. The teeth are represented in this flat image, as well as the upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are often used to help plan treatments for dentures, braces, extractions and implants.

Intraoral Scanners

With intraoral scanners, we create digital dental impressions - often an ideal alternative to traditional dental impressions which can be messy. Your dentist uses an optical scanning wand to capture a digital image of your teeth. The device helps your dentist capture highly accurate data so digital replicas can be made.

Soft Tissue Dental Lasers

In dentistry, lasers (extremely focused light beams) can be used in several soft and hard tissue procedures. They help our dentists to perform dental procedures with less pain and fewer medical interventions. At Battlefords Dental Centre, our dentists typically use soft tissue lasers for repair and healing purposes.
